Video Games
Overview
Under this two-rating classification system, consumers, especially parents, will be better equipped to make informed choices about video games available in the market. The introduction of video game classification will allow mature gamers to have more choice as games which would have previously been disallowed for the general public would now be available with a M18 rating. At the same time, younger gamers would be protected from materials not suitable for the young. This video game classification system was developed after a two-year period involving detailed research and extensive consultation with members of the public and private sector, including members of MDA’s advisory committees, representatives from the video games distribution and retail sectors, as well as parents, academics and gamers.
More information of what rating each video game was given since the implementation of the system can be found
