Arts Entertainment

Classification enables parents to decide if  a show is suitable for their children and teachers to choose the appropriate performances for their students. There are currently three classification categories for arts performances.

In classifying content, the topic, treatment and target audience should be taken into consideration. The classification framework outlines the general principles underlying the classification of arts performances.

The Arts Consultative Panel (ACP) offers feedback and provides recommendations concerning plays and other forms of arts entertainment, such as dance and music performances and art exhibitions.

To find out the rating/advisory given to stage plays licensed by MDA, please consult the searchable Arts Classification Database before you purchase tickets.
