The China-Singapore Film Co-Production Agreement was signed on 23 July 2010 on the sidelines of the 7th Meeting of the China-Singapore Joint Council for Bilateral Co-operation (JCBC) in Beijing, China. The China-Singapore Film Co-production Agreement entered into force on 22 December 2010.
Singapore is the sixth country and the first Asian country to sign such a film co-production agreement with China, paving the way for creative minds in both countries to collaborate on feature film and telemovie projects.
Under this Agreement, a feature film or telemovie approved as an Official China-Singapore Co-Production will be considered as a national production in each of the co-production countries. Co-producers can apply for any benefits or programs of assistance available in their country for such official film or telemovie co-productions.
The Agreement is administered by the MDA’s International Relations team and China’s Film Bureau under the State Administration of Radio, Film and TV (SARFT) appointed company, the China Film Co-production Corporation (CFCC).
